Classification: Hourly, plus lessons

Essential Functions: Instructs members & guests through advice and lessons on methods and style of play, helps promote golf tournaments. Assists in Pro Shop sales & operations.

Working Hours: Varied, weekends & holidays required.

Additional Responsibilities:
Responsible for administering the golf operations in the absence of the Director of Golf, including attending golf-related meetings.
Must help run clinics, golf tournaments and can give private golf lessons.
When time allows playing with various golf groups.
Be visible in front of members, walking the range, walking the putting greens, driving through the golf courses, and responsive to members’ questions.
When time allows developing your game, including hitting balls.
Must be activated in or in pursuit of PGA of America A1 level.
Must work scheduled Pro Shops hours.
Sell merchandise, special order merchandise, help with inventory, check-in golfers prior to their round of golf and can open and close Pro Shop.
Must know all aspects of the point of sale computer system to include start-up, close, entering golf-related fees, merchandise sales with gift certificates or sweeps.
Have knowledge of all aspects of the handicap computer to include, including setting up tournaments, end-of-month updates, and all pertinent reports.
Assist in maintaining and regulating policies, rules, and regulations of golf department operations.
Manage your time, shop-related, game-related, and visible to the membership with the Club’s image in cognizance.
Must comply with all rules and regulations as stated in the Employee Handbook.
Assists with other duties as assigned by management.
Must be able to stand, climb, stoop, bend, reach overhead and push and pull on a continuous basis.
Must be willing to adhere to policies/procedures assigned by the safety committee.
Must be willing to work with co-workers as a team.
The schedule varies to the needs of the Club. Weekends and holidays are required.
Exposure to extreme cold, heat, and humidity.

Must present a neat appearance, possess a pleasant personality, and wear the required uniform and shoes. Required to stand (1-8 Hour periods), climb stairs, stoop, bend, lift, push & pull and reach overhead. Must have prior golf experience. Must possess good judgment and decision-making abilities. The position requires both indoor and outdoor work. Exposure to various chemicals fumes and noise.
